Anyoung Insadong

Overview 

Anyoung Insadong, at the center of Insa-dong, is a complex cultural space where visitors can enjoy food, fashion, entertainment, and attractions all at once. It allows to enjoy memories and joy in Insa-dong, knowns for traditional district, which connects the past, present, and future. It is located in Insa-dong, which became famous among young people after various galleries and Ssamzie-Gil are opened.

Attractions

Anyoung Insadong has commercial facilities composed of three themes: food, fashion, and fun. The “Food Street” features numerous Korean restaurants and cafes that combine traditional Korean food with modern days giving guests a glimpse of the trend in Korean food culture. The “Fashion Street” has craft and accessory shops, including Line Friends, a character shop of Naver, a famous IT company. On the first basement floor, there is the “Insa Central Museum,” an exhibition hall for everybody, from youngsters to family visitors. Also, Nine Tree Hotel is located inside the building, making it perfect for tourists who plan to enjoy shopping and sightseeing.

Accessibility 

The main entrance is broad and has no slopes and steps, and tactile paving is installed for the visually impaired so anyone, including wheelchair users, can enter and exit conveniently. The road surface in the building is generally flat. There is an information center that is easy for wheelchair users to access, and a tactile map for the visually impaired is installed. The elevator and accessible restroom for persons with disabilities are spacious enough for wheelchair users, but caution is required as the manual doors of the restroom are heavy. There are parking facilities for persons with disabilities that can be conveniently used by wheelchair users and there is a diaper changing station in the nursing room.
