Overview An imaginative playground created by Crown-Haitai Confectionery Group in2015 in the basement of its headquarters for children to experience art withtheir five senses. Since 2008, the Crown-Haitai Confectionery Group hadoperated “PicassoCubism,” anart playground for children. By expanding these facilities, it has opened theCrown Haitai Kids Museum as a space for cultural and artistic experiences forchildren.
Contents It is a place where children can experience art in a self-directed waythrough various activities of seeing, hearing, feeling, making, and tasting.The playground space is largely divided into the Creative Experience Center andthe Imagination Playground. The Creative Experience Center is a space wherechildren can experience making things using paper and natural objects, such asdrawing a face or making a house using snacks, making a dessert tray for woodendoll, or creating Klimt’s Tree of Life. The Imagination Playground consists of spaces designedwith 10 different themes including Kinetic Art, Cypress Tree Pool, Media PlayZone, Block Playground, Car Playground, Wind Science Research Institute, RockClimbing, Drawing in Your Own Way, Undersea Exploration, and Traditional KoreanMusic and Traditional Korean Musical Instruments. The biggest feature of allthe experiential programs is that they cater to children with the Reggio EmiliaEducation approach.
Accessibility There is a parking lot in the back of the building. However, as it isquite small, using public transportation is recommended. Since it is a facilityfor children, it is equipped with amenities mainly for children rather than thedisabled. The tourism vulnerable, including the disabled, may experience someinconvenience.
