This course introduces a library-inspired journey where visitors can read, stroll, and relax at their own pace.

 

Located near World Cup Park in Sangam-dong, Mapo Central Library is an open cultural space for all citizens. With wide corridors, elevators, accessible parking, and Braille blocks, the library is designed for comfortable use by visitors using wheelchairs or strollers.

 

Nearby dining spots include Mela Hongdae Branch in Yeonnam-dong and Richemont Bakery Seongsan Main Branch.
At Mela Hongdae Branch, visitors can enjoy Italian-style fusion cuisine made with fresh ingredients. Pasta and salads are popular menu items, and the step-free indoor and outdoor layout ensures easy movement.

With a 40-year tradition, Richemont Bakery Seongsan Main Branch is well known for its soft croissants and classic French cakes. The low entrance threshold and wide interior pathways allow smooth wheelchair and stroller access.

 

Peace Park, located close to Mapo Central Library, offers a quiet place for a leisurely walk. Its wide, flat walking paths allow everyone to enjoy nature comfortably.
In the late afternoon, sunlight spreading across the silver grass fields and the lake creates a peaceful moment reminiscent of a scene from a book.

 

Beginning with reading and ending in nature, this healing course offers a day of rest for both body and mind.

Located in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu, Mapo Central Library is a multi-purpose cultural space where knowledge and culture are shared. General reading rooms, digital resource rooms, and a book café are comfortably designed to support focused reading and study. Spaces catering to different age groups and interests, including a children’s reading room, are arranged across each floor.

Humanities lectures and art programs for the public are also held regularly, allowing visitors to engage with learning and culture as part of everyday life.

As an open cultural hub centered around books, this space fosters connection and adds a sense of ease to everyday urban life.

The access routes are step-free, and the main entrance is equipped with ramps, automatic doors, and Braille blocks. Elevator buttons are positioned low for convenient wheelchair use. The reading rooms feature a Braille printing machine, as well as accessible reading desks equipped with manuscript holders and page turners.

Pyeonghwa Park

Located in Sangam-dong, Peace Park is a green space where visitors can experience tranquility in the heart of the city. As one of the representative walking areas of the World Cup Park district, it offers rich scenery throughout the seasons with diverse trees and flowers.

With wide, flat walking paths, the area is open to everyone, including wheelchair users and visitors with strollers. Benches, ponds, and silver grass fields throughout the park make it a popular resting place for families. In the late afternoon, as warm sunlight reflects across the lake, the surrounding noise fades and the park fills with a calm atmosphere.

A place where nature and people come together, Peace Park offers Seoul citizens a moment of quiet reflection.

Near the lakeside bike rental area, Braille guidance maps and electric wheelchair charging stations are available.
