[Culture & Art Museum Course]
Seoul, the City of Art, Becomes a Canvas
Course Explanation
Begin your special day where art and emotion meet in the heart of Seoul. The Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) Seosomun Main Branch offers a serene atmosphere where visitors can experience the flow of contemporary art. As you appreciate the artworks displayed both inside and outside the museum, you’ll find art blending naturally into everyday life.
After your visit, take a short break at Coffee & Cigarettes, located in the Yuwon Building near City Hall Station. From the window seats, you can enjoy panoramic views of Deoksugung Palace and downtown Seoul — the perfect spot to unwind over a cup of coffee.
Finally, stroll along Deoksugung Stone Wall Path, where the charm of daily life and art gently intertwine. Each step reveals a new face of Seoul, making this course a quiet yet deeply enriching artistic journey.
Located in the center of the city, the Seoul Museum of Art is a cultural space where art is always close by. The main building, once the home to Korea’s Supreme Court, retains its classical architectural beauty, offering a unique harmony of history and art. Beyond exhibitions, SeMA actively hosts community programs and art education sessions, making it an open space for everyone to experience art.
When you wish to pause amid the urban rush and feel the breath of art, SeMA is the perfect destination.
The main entrance and the accessible way to the museum are step-free and wheelchair-friendly. Automatic doors facilitate easy access for wheelchair and stroller users. Elevators are available, and a playroom and nursing room for families with infants are located on the first floor. Wheelchair rentals are also available at the first-floor information desk.
