Overview
MANG-U History & Culture Park was designated as a cemetery during the Japanese colonial era and was well known as the Manguri Public Cemetery. In 1997, a memorial monument was created around the graves of 15 great men, including independence activists and literary figures, and name was changed to Manguri Park in 1998. It was selected as the future heritage of Seoul in 2013. Two Manguri Humanities Paths were created in 2016, drawing attention as a treasure trove of modern and contemporary history and a space for humanities. On April 1, 2022, with the opening of Jungnang Mangu Space, a complex cultural space, it was reborn as MANG-U History & Culture Park.
