Overview
It is a complex space established in 2015 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the old site of the Korean Disease Control and Prevention Agency, to foster social innovators and practice social innovation. It is an innovative space with diverse contents and experiences, a place to rest for a healthy life and carry out activities related to social problems. There are innovation-related venture companies, civil society organizations, and human rights organizations. It aims to become an 'entrance to the social innovation ecosystem' that experiments, studies, and practices new social culture. At the same time, it is also an open space where citizens can feel comfortable and participate in multiple related programs.
Attractions
The park is operated by the Seoul Innovation Center, a private consignment agency. The Seoul Innovation Center is a coordinator that creates an systematic environment that discovers innovators, connects their various experiences, and conducts new experiments. There are various buildings such as Project Path, Future Field, Youth Hall, SeMA Storage, Collabo Bay, Theater Heights, Wood Terrace, Food Garden, Maker Meadow, Community Glade, and Upcycling Lawn in the park. Each building operates various experience programs related to the theme. Diverse events such as flea markets are held occasionally in the outdoor space. The park is a playground where Seoul citizens can experience creative experiences.
Accessibility
A ramp is installed on the entryway of each building. The main entrance has no step and tactile paving is installed. The road surface in the park is generally flat, so wheelchair users can freely move around. There is an accessible restroom for persons with disabilities throughout the building. There are convenient parking facilities for persons with disabilities in front of the Future Field and the Collabo Bay. There is a nursing room across the Meeting Room 2 on the second floor Future Field and the open space.
