Overview
Yongsan Crafts Museum is a craft exhibition and cultural complex facility established by Yongsan-gu in 2018 to promote Korea's traditional culture and craft culture industry. It is directly operated by Yongsan-gu and entrusts or sells works by famous craftsmen across the country. Since its opening, the Yongsan Craft Museum has been promoting the excellence and beauty of Korean traditional crafts by exhibiting and selling traditional crafts, creating jobs in related fields, supporting craftsman activities, and operating educational programs.
Attractions
The traditional crafts store on the first floor exhibits and sells various crafts such as stationery, furniture, and household goods with the participation of craftsmen from Yongsan Crafts Museum, master craftsmen from all over the country, and more than 50 companies. Guests can enjoy various daily experience programs at the Craft Learning Center on the 3rd floor. In the exhibition room on the 4th floor, a special exhibition will be held where guests can see rare crafts. In addition, the outdoor performance hall hosts various performances and events related to traditional culture, so it is recommended to check the official website in advance.
Accessibility
The entryway and main entrance are flat and have no steps or slopes, and tactile paving is installed for the visually impaired, so anyone, including wheelchair users, can enter and exit conveniently. The elevator in the museum is narrow in width to rotate a wheelchair. The accessible restroom for persons with disabilities is installed separately on the first basement floor, and the men's and women's bathrooms are separated. Also, there is one parking facility for persons with disabilities on the first basement floor for the convenience of wheelchair users.
