Basic Information
Overview
Haneul Park, located near World Cup Stadium station on line 6, is a park created to restore Nanjido, a waste landfill in the past. It was named 'Haneul Park' because it is the closest to the sky in the World Cup Park, where visitors can see the Bukhan Mountain and Han river from the Sky Observatory. Along with Noeul Park, Pyeonghwa Park, Nanjicheon Park, and Nanji Hangang Park, it provides Seoul citizens a resting place close to nature.
Attractions
Haneul Park is well known for the Silver Grass Festival held in autumn. Many people visit here to take a walk at the reeed field, while enjoying the scenery of the silver grass and the sunset. In addition, there are various photo zones such as the pink muhly spot. A gigantic tree in the center of the park, 'Container for the Sky,' is suitable for viewing the surrounding scenery along with the Sky Observatory. Haneul Park is one of the best place to enjoy the beautiful autumn in Seoul.
Accessibility
The entryway and main entrance are wide with no steps, but there are uneven sections of the road, such as gravel fields in the park, so caution is needed when using wheelchairs and strollers. Strollers and wheelchairs rental is available at the information center, and park guidance guide maps are available as well. In addition, visual aids for persons with hearing impairment can be rented upon request. The accessible restroom for persons with disabilities is spacious enough for electric wheelchairs. There are eight parking facilities for persons with disabilities toward World Cup Park Children's Forest Experience Park. There is a nursing room for those accompanying infants and children near the visitor center, and a diaper changing station is installed in the accessible restroom.
