Basic Information
Overview
As the first contemporary art museum in Eunpyeong-gu, Savina Museum serves as a lifelong school to foster citizens' artistic literacy, aesthetics, and creativity through various cultural and artistic activities such as convergence exhibitions, art education programs, academies, seminars, and cultural events. The exterior of the museum is designed with a unique triangular shape, and the building is built five stories above the ground. The Savina Museum, operated under the slogan, "Be new, surprise the world!" is attempting various creative exhibitions through convergence. It is one of the first museums in Korea that held a convergence exhibition with arts and other fields, reflecting the need of our time to emphasize hybrid culture and creativity.
Contents
The museum provides distinctive art education programs that lead to creativity development. The museum has built several interactive contents for both online and offline experiences, including the first VR (Virtual Reality) exhibition hall in Korea, live interviews and seminars of the artists. In addition, visitors can meet unexpected works found throughout architectural styles inside and outside the museum, as part of the AA Project (Art and Architecture project). There are several off-site exhibitions experienced in the form of virtual and metaverse exhibitions.
Accessibility
The entryway and the main entrance are broad with no obstacles, so it is wheelchair accessible. There are manual doors at the main entrance, which may require helps for wheelchair users. The elevator has spacious enough for wheelchair users. Accessible Restrooms are located on the ground and third floors of the building, and are separated from general restrooms and also are separated from men and women. There is a parking facility for persons with disabilities.
