Basic Information

Overview 

The Kim Koo Museum & Library opened on October 22, 2002 to share the life and thoughts of Kim Koo. As a history museum that focuses on the modern history of Korea, it serves as a cultural space for Koreans and other visitors, helping them understand the history of the Korean Provisional Government and the rise of modern Korea through the actions and ideas of Kim Koo. He pursued the nation's unification based on autonomy, democracy and peace, and contributed to the advancement of the nation's civil society and rich culture.

Attractions 

Consisting of two floors, the Exhibition Hall displays a variety of records and information regarding the biography of Kim Koo, who participated in the most significant events in the modern history of Korea (such as the Donghak Peasants Movement, activities as a freedom fighter,  the development of patriotic enlightenment, the Korean Provisional Government, patriotic guerilla struggles, the Korea Independence Army, unification campaigns, educational campaigns, etc.), through engaging and interactive exhibition techniques (such as tableaus, dioramas, models, animation, magic vision, documentary films, etc.).

Accessibility 

The entryway has long path which might present difficulties for some wheelchair users to access. Elevator and parking lots are accessible for all. Restrooms are not spacious and might be difficult to use for some wheelchair users.
