Basic Information

Overview

Seoullo 7017 is a street park and cultural complex that prohibits vehicle traffic and allows people to walk on the overpass of Seoul Station. The road opened in 1970 was a 938m highway connecting Seoul Station-Toegye-ro-Mallijae-Cheongpa-ro. However, due to aging and safety concerns, it was remodeled as a public pedestrian walkway in 2017, like New York's High Line Park. ‘7017’ refers to the original date ‘constructed in 1970 and when the space was redeveloped as pedestrian paths in 2017’.
