Seoul Iris Garden

Basic Information

Overview 

Seoul Iris Garden is a special botanical garden park located between Mt. Dobong and MT. Surak, at the end of Gangbuk in Seoul. The gardenis organized around 12 themes including an iris garden, a medicinal botanical garden, and a wetland garden. Specifically, it is one of the 160 “Beautiful spring flowers paths” selected by the Seoul Metropolitan Government because itis full of irises, one of the four major flowers in the world. You can appreciate the beauty of more than 130 types of irises, including black berry lily and iris pseudoacorus.  

Attractions 

Seoul Iris Garden allows visitors to enjoy various species of irises, aquatic plants, and wetland creatures. Inaddition to this, the garden is the starting point of the Seoul Dulle-gil recommended tour, so visitors can get a free pamphlet, stamp book, and map from the Visitor Center. On the 2nd floor, there is a recommended book café to visit after walking around the garden to take in the view. Guests are encouraged touse public transportation or paid parking lots across from Dobongsan station, as the garden does not offer parking.

Accessibility 

The entryway and main entrance have no incline or obstacles providing easy access to wheelchair users and infant strollers and has tactile paving for the visually impaired. The elevator is highly accessible and restrooms for people with disabilities are spacious enough to rotate all types of wheelchairs. Parking lots are accessible as well. Infant nursing rooms and changing stations are available for families with babies.
